Molly Naylor: Stop Trying to be Fantastic

Molly Naylor: Stop Trying to be Fantastic

Somerset Libraries invite you to join them in Yeovil on 27 January for a very special performance by Molly Naylor, in association with The Inn Crowd and Libraries Connected.

‘Stop Trying to be Fantastic’ is a story about suffering, adventure, saviour-complex, acceptance, and a magpie who refuses to quit. One day, a magpie comes into a little girl’s house by mistake. It decides it likes her. She spends the next twenty-five years trying to get away from it.

From award-winning writer and performer Molly Naylor (Whenever I Get Blown Up I Think Of You, Sky One’s After Hours), produced in association with INN CROWD, comes this lyrical and funny spoken-word show, that explores what we owe to each other and what we owe to ourselves.

It’s an anti-self-help show – that might actually help.

The performance is free, suitable for people aged fourteen plus and will be held in the Performing Arts Library in Yeovil at 4pm. Covid restrictions will be in place for those when attending.

Due to Covid restrictions, tickets are limited to 50 attendees. Please reserve your free ticket by visiting https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/…/molly-naylor-stop-trying..

Councillor David Hall, Somerset County Council member responsible for libraries, said: “We are delighted to be hosting Molly Naylor and her show at our Yeovil library.

“It shows the diverse role the library service has now established in our community.”
