Trowbridge Sports Centre dry facilities to reopen

Trowbridge Sports Centre, which has been closed since 23 December, will partially reopen on Monday (20 January).

Following a series of investigations and enabling works, the ‘dry side’ of the centre – which includes the sports hall, small sports hall, squash courts and dry change area – will open during normal opening hours from Monday. People will be able to access this part of the centre to the left-hand side of the building, with clear signage in place to help guide them.

The swimming pool section of the sports centre will remain closed as remedial works are required to make it safe –  it is anticipated that these will be completed by the summer.

The site is owned by Wiltshire Council and operated in partnership by Places Leisure.

Cllr Allison Bucknell, Cabinet Member for Leisure, said: “We thank everyone for bearing with us during this disruptive and frustrating time and apologise for the closure.

“I’m pleased to see the centre partially reopen and our teams are now working hard to understand the extent of the repairs and find the quickest way forward to ensure Trowbridge residents have access to a pool as soon as possible”. Customers with questions should contact Places Leisure on enquiries@trowbridgesportscentre.co.uk.
