To finish off their summer of activities, Children’s World, in partnership with Glastonbury Abbey, will be screening The Kid Who Would Be King on Friday the 23rd August as the opening night of the abbey’s outdoor film festival. The film, about a young boy who stumbles upon the mythical sword Excalibur, features several scenes shot in Glastonbury, including the abbey.
To get the audience in the mood, there will be pre-show entertainment with a sword fighting display including a chance to try the weapons and armour, magic and a birds of prey display.
Charity director, Paddy Hill said “It’s been an incredibly busy summer for us and we can’t think of a better finale to our activities! It’s a great film, with action, comedy and fantasy featuring some familiar local backdrops – a perfect family spectacle!”
