Tottington Hall comes to Montacute House

Tottington Hall comes to Montacute House

Aardman took inspiration from Montacute House and re-imagined it as Tottington Hall, which features in the award-winning Wallace & Gromit film, The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.

Members of Aardman’s artisitc design team visited Montacute House whilst they were in pre-production for the film.

During these visits many pictures and measurements were taken of the house interior, as well as panoramic views of the parkland.  These became the basis of the film’s setting, Tottington Hall.

Aardman is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Wallace & Gromit in 2019.  As part of those celebrations the model of Tottington Hall used in the filming of The Curse of the Were-Rabbit will be on display from 23 May to 4 November 2019.  As well as the model you will be able to see some of the concept artwork that features the house.

Entry to see the display is free and will be by timed ticket only, which can be booked in advance online or by phone.  Each time slot to view the display lasts for 25 minutes.  Time slots are available every day, starting at 11am and finishing at 4pm.
