Popular reuse sale returns to Keynsham

Bargain household and garden items, too good for recycling, are going on sale at a popular reuse event organised by Bath and North East Somerset Council.

The reuse sale is returning, with a wider variety of goods on Saturday 21 July, from 10am-12 noon at the old MOD building, next to the Recycling Centre, in Pixash Lane. People are being encouraged to drop off items which are too good for recycling and could be reused instead. These include furniture, bric-a-brac, bicycles, garden ware and some building materials. Residents taking items, which could be reused, to recycling centres in Keynsham or Midsomer Norton, should see the site staff, who will put the donations to one side.

Already items, which will be sold at bargain prices, starting from £5 with some given away for free, are being set aside for the sale. For items costing more than £5 cards will be accepted, otherwise, it is cash only, and they must be taken away at the time of purchase. There will also be an opportunity to visit Bath & North East Somerset Council’s recycling roadshow at the sale to find out how to recycle more at home.

Staff will be on hand to give advice on how to reduce waste, answer recycling queries and provide free recycling containers if needed.
