Kinder offers free activities for parents to enjoy with their kids this long weekend!

Kinder Surprise has teamed up with some of the nation’s top entertainers and leading play experts, including TV, Radio Presenter and Diversity star, Jordan Banjo, and award-winning children’s illustrator, Draw with Rob, to create the ultimate celebration of play – just in time for Easter.

The free activities and workshops have been created as part of the Kinder Masters of Play Festival and have been crafted to help parents make the most of playtime. The festival offers an inspirational programme of fun little play ideas for parents that mean a lot to their children, available for the Easter break and beyond.

The programme includes a dynamic dance-class with Jordan Banjo at the diversity studio, as well as Jordan’s ‘story time’ session for parents and their little ones, featuring an exclusive sneak preview of Jordan’s new book ‘Fly High Crew’, which he created with brother Ashley Banjo.

Families can also enjoy a special drawing workshop with popular award-winning children’s author and illustrator Rob Biddulph, aka Draw with Rob, who has hosted a tutorial inspired by a Kinder toy parrot, whilst palaeontologist, Dr Dean Lomax, will be answering families’ most pressing dinosaur questions.

The workshops and activities are available alongside a variety of fun, learning and play based challenges for families to complete in their own time. Activities include word searches, colouring and numeracy challenges, all of which are available on www.kinder.com/uk/en/masters-play.

The Kinder Masters of Play Festival has been designed with the support of Play & Development Child Psychologist Dr Elizabeth Kilbey, well known from the Channel 4 TV series The Secret Life of 4, 5 and 6-Year-Olds. As well as co-creating the Masters of Play festival programme, Dr Kilbey has answered questions to help parents get the most out of playtime with their kids.

The festival celebrates the launch of a new app launched by Kinder, which brings Kinder toys to life in a digital world – this combination of physical and digital play helps us to provide the optimum play experience for families.

Dad of two, Jordan Banjo, commented: “The bonds between kids and parents look to be stronger than ever and this is something I’ve definitely experienced with my own children thanks to the past year.

“I am excited to be a part of the Masters of Play Festival which will be a great way to help inspire parents with fun little play ideas that will mean a lot to their children. I am always looking for new play experiences to share with my kids as I know that playing can also lead to learning new things. Alongside the Festival, there is plenty of fun activities that parents can enjoy with their children on a new free app that has been developed by Kinder.”

Leonardo Bertelli, Category Director at Kinder, said: “We created the Kinder Masters of Play Festival because we wanted to provide parents with inspiring content and activities to help them make the most of their playtime with their children this Easter and beyond. The Festival programme will help to nurture key skills, such as creativity and problem-solving, reflecting the activities found on the new app launched by Kinder. The app is designed to create a fun playing experience that brings the whole family together, so we hope families enjoy the festival and the new app just as much as we loved creating them.”

All activities and workshops from the Kinder Masters of Play Festival are available now to help families make the most of playtime during the Easter break. Jordan Banjo’s dance class and story time workshop can be found on Kinder’s Facebook page and all other workshops, Q&As and downloadable activities can be found at https://www.kinder.com/uk/en/masters-play.
