Roald Dahl Day is celebrated annually on the 13th September and gives us all the opportunity to enjoy some of the greatest stories ever written. It is a chance for us to celebrate our favourite characters and to remember the author with a host of fun activities and workshops!
The event takes place in September as it was Roald Dahl’s birth month and you’ll find that schools and other organisations will be taking part in the Dahlicious Dress Up Day, reading some of his best loved stories and more fun lessons! If your school isn’t taking part but you want to join in and hold some events at home for the family, you can find resources online at roalddahl.com

This was the most popular among the team! Mostly because of the chocolate but also because of the oompa Loompas and how amazing the factory was! - George’s Marvellous Medicine
