Royal Bath and West Show 2018

Over four days there are action packed events for all the family, and a haven for all enthusiasts of rural life.
Agriculture is at the heart of the Show with over 4500 Livestock, Sheep Shearing, machinery from the past 100 years and the very latest farming technology.
Entertainment is on tap with attractions in the main ring ranging from top class Show-Jumping to the grand parade of prize winning animals. While the Living Countryside arena showcases the Great British Countryside.
Come and Meet the producers of the finest food and drink in Britain! The Show is in the heart of the West Country which is home to cider and cheddar cheese; and the Show hosts the British Cider Championships and The British Cheese Awards. The show features over 125 food producers, ranging from funky street food to ‘sit, eat and enjoy’, to the finest produce you can take home to cook and share with all the family.
A perennial crowd-puller; the Main Ring action includes Private driving, Pony Club games and the inter-hunt relay. A brand new class – the Jockey Challenge – was introduced in 2017. Jockeys and showjumpers were paired up to ride a parallel course against the clock, which was sure to get the adrenaline pumping! The Royal Bath & West Show was the only show in the UK to feature the Diggerland JCB Stunt Team!
Imagineering returns with an exciting line-up of organisations, with some new activities, all bringing scores of free fun engineering and technology activities specially developed for children. Packed full with mind-blowing displays and STEM activities, (science, technology, engineering, mathematics), there is something for everyone with opportunities to see behind some of the fascinating technology used in modern manufacturing, energy and defence that affects our everyday lives.
This year’s Farming for the Family included a hands-on demonstration kitchen, with help from local producers. You could meet the Cattle, Pigs, Goats and see the Sheep Show before taking a seat in Europe’s biggest tractor! Taste a variety of milk types from Channel Island to skimmed while watching the Hurdlebrook Milking Cow Show. Tractor Ted, the UK’s favourite little green tractor, also joined us with plenty of real life farm fun for all the family!
