Larmer Tree Festival

18th July 2019 - 21st July 2019

Your Larmer Tree Festival weekend just got bigger!

Joining the previously announced music line-up including Kate Tempest, Jack Savoretti, The Cat Empire, The Shires, Gomez and KT Tunstall will be London indie-rockers Flyte, alongside rootsy Americana duo Ida Mae, bluesy two-piece Ferris and Sylvester, enigmatic singer-songwriter Ren Harvieu, mesmerising female folk duo Sound of the Sirens,
cider-folk troubadour Gaz Brookfield, and up and coming Brighton singer Bess Atwell.

Longtime Larmer favourites Pronghorn will be returning to The Village Inn, the always-popular live music pub which showcases a thrilling mix of local talent alongside an extensive range of local brews. Joining them will be acoustic folk trio Glymjack, acclaimed London 5-piece Curse of Lono, who will bring the stage to a close on Friday night, and Hampshire ‘death Western’ rockers Lady Winwoods Maggot. The folk-punk sound of Black Water County will be providing a foot-stomping sign off on Sunday, alongside some Afrobeat and ska jams courtesy of Town of Cats.

Just outside the Village Inn, you’ll find our new Village Green – a bustling place for activities, fun, some silliness and getting together with your fellow festival-goers. This delightful patch of grass will be a meeting point for friends and families, a glorious spot to settle down in and is packed full of entertainment! There’s slacklining workshops, poetry from The Antipoet and hilarious, daring theatre from Dick Danger! Pop along to play Games with TUFF or to take part in our super silly Village Green Games. As if that wasn’t enough the Pop-Up Hula Disco (back by popular demand!) will be lighting up the Village Green with swirling, colourful hoops and cheesy tunes on Saturday and Sunday night!

If you fancy taking part in our all-new Peacock Parade Carnival, head to The Wilds from Thursday onwards where you’ll find workshops galore where you can make flags and high flying birds to soar above the crowd! Drop-in to the Go to Peacock Parade Crafts session to make headdresses, masks and more with Makendo. Joining the Parade will be the fabulous bands and dancers; Sambatastic, Inta Africa, SUJ, Lost & Rambling Collective, Tall Tails Theatre and rumour has it that the Queen will be attending with Electric Cabaret! Meet at The Wilds at 4.30pm on Sunday to be a part of this magnificent display of creativity, music and energy followed by a party on in the Village Green.

Plus, don’t miss the Sambatastic workshop on Sun at 3.30pm in The Wilds to become a member of in the Peacock Parade band!

For those who fancy some pampering alongside their partying, the Larmer Spa will once again offer hot tub experiences in a stunning new location on the Larmer Lawns. Nestled alongside the hot tubs will be a wide array of therapies waiting to be discovered, where visitors can take a break from the action and indulge their body and senses with a relaxing massage, gong bath or reiki session, with 32 different replenishing treatments on offer.

Larmer Tree have teamed up with Salisbury’s Fisherton Mill for the first time, offering a series of premium workshops for those wanting to learn a new creative skill under the tuition of expert practitioners. These are set to include calligraphy, crochet, silver jewellery making, screen printing and more. Taking place in the brand new Pavilion Workshop Tent

A new addition for the beautiful woodland location The Wilds in 2019 will be exciting Woodland Crafts for all ages. Dorset Rewilding are nature-based education providers covering a wide range of creative activities for the whole family. They help to inspire and encourage others to foster a connection with nature and spend more time in natural heritage. Visitors can either book on the day for workshops such as Natures Musical Instruments or Willow Weaving, or pop in anytime for a wide array of free drop-in sessions including Den Building, Minibeast Hunts or play detective in a game of ‘Whose Poo?’.
