Easter Family Fun at The Bishop’s Palace

Easter Family Fun at The Bishop’s Palace

This Easter Holiday, families looking for things to do in Somerset should head over to The Bishop’s Palace in Wells.

From 3rd – 18th April the Palace Easter Family Trail will run daily. Simply collect the trail upon arrival, or download it from the Palace website, and head off around the Gardens to hunt for coloured eggs. Once the trail is completed, children can collect their prize on the way out.

The Dragon’s Lair play area will also be open daily – the perfect place to exercise little legs; climb the Dragon’s Wings, explore the Tree Pods, crawl through the Dragon’s belly or pump the water to spill the bucket and send the Dragon to sleep – the choice is yours!

If you’re looking for a day out with a difference, then Medieval Falconry Day on Sunday 11th April 10am-4pm.

Held on the South Lawn, against the stunning backdrop of the medieval Great Hall, Tony from specialist falconry firm, Raptorcare, will entertain crowds with a day of fantastic flying displays, fascinating information and beautiful birds!

The displays are aimed at all ages of visitor and will illustrate how these birds would have been used in Medieval times and why. Marvel at their skill and training as they show off their well-honed moves in front of the audience and in between displays, visitors can have the chance to handle some of the birds.

The Bishop’s Table Café will also be open daily for takeaway, serving a range of drinks, snacks, lunches and hot food.
