Colour, Crafts and Cacti

Family Fun this half term at the American Museum and Gardens.

Jet off to America this half-term holiday without the need for suitcases or passports and join the American Museum and Gardens for some family fan. Inspired by the museum’s current exhibition, Kaffe Fassett’s Quilts in America, and the SouthWest’s newest garden attraction, the young and the young at heart can create their very own colourful creations in a week of crafting.

Makers from Kaffe Fassett studio will also be on hand on the Bank Holiday Monday to share their skills as you create some billowing bunting or a stylish beach bag ready for the summer.
If it’s more outdoor fun and exploring you need, bring your four legged friends to wander on the winding way and join the Yankee Doodle Dandy, American clothing family fun trail. Dotted around the gardens will be items of clothing from feathers to fedoras that will help you discover the story of America and the unique views from one of Bath’s best kept secrets.

“The May half-term is a great time to discover the natural cover in our fab new gardens as well as those on the quilts of Kaffe Fassett. We thought we’d combine the two and inspire families to craft their very own colourful creations this holiday week,” said Eleanor Lane, Events Officer at the American Museum and Gardens.

The American Museum and Gardens is the place to be for all the family this May half term.
