Celebrate World Book Day on 5th March!

World Book Day turns 23 this year and is a huge celebration of reading that not only encourages reading but also gives kids (and adults!) the chance to dress up as their favourite characters!

Schools across the UK take part with activities and workshops as well as the chance to get your hands on tokens to pick up special editions of popular books.

Is your school getting involved with World Book Day? We’d love to hear all about it, don’t forget to tell your teachers to get in touch with us and let us know what you did for the big day – they can email us on info@familymatters-uk.co.uk!

To help you get excited for the big day, here are a few of our favourite books for you to check out together.

  • Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief – Rick Riordan
  • Matilda – Roald Dahl
  • Wonder – R J Palacio
  • Goodnight Mr Tom – Michelle Magorian
