Music for Miniatures is a series of short live classical concerts specifically designed for parents, grandparents and carers to enjoy in the company of babies, toddlers and young children (aged 0-4).
The best thing about a Music for Miniatures concert is… we don’t mind noise!
Babies can sleep, cry, babble and crawl whilst toddlers are free to explore and enjoy in their own way without being told to “ssh”. Older little ones can dance, play air-instruments and get right up close to the performers. We don’t even mind if the audience needs a nap!
Classical music has been proven to be calming for children of all ages, and hearing it live is even better. At a Music for Miniatures concert you can experience the magic of live music with your little one and let the beautiful music relax you both.
Music for Miniatures was started by musician mum Julie Payne when she found no opportunities to share live music with her own young children without worrying about them making noise! Julie believes that children should be exposed to high quality, live music from a very early age and that concert-going should be as common as swimming lessons for young children to help inspire them, encourage creativity and help them to listen with open ears.
