Big name performers set to delight South West theatre lovers

A host of big-name performers are lined up to star in West End shows this Spring and Summer and South West theatre goers are snapping up tickets fast.

Stars such as Lulu, performing in 42nd Street; Cuba Gooding Jnr, performing in Chicago; and Will Young performing in Strictly Ballroom, are proving to be a big pull for audiences travelling from the Westcountry.

Local travel company Bakers Dolphin, which specialises in transporting South West theatre lovers to the latest West End shows, say that bookings are up thanks to the top ticket stars and shows on offer this year.

The company has also announced a new deposit scheme making travelling to London for theatre more affordable than ever.

The new scheme means customers only pay £40 per person up front to secure their tickets and transport, with the remaining balance due six weeks before departure.

Amanda Harrington said: “Our new deposit scheme is a huge advantage for customers meaning they can spread of the cost of London theatre tickets across weeks and even months.

“This is something no one else is offering locally and this scheme combined with our already reasonable prices for tickets and travel is a really special package for those looking for a London show experience.

“Not only do we secure the best tickets and seats another benefit of our theatre trips is that we deliver you right to the theatre and pick you up right outside immediately afterwards, meaning no slogging across London or delays in getting home after an evening of fun.

“This Spring and Summer is particularly strong in terms of the shows and the celebrities on offer. The line-up is outstanding and I know regular theatre-goers will love it as will anyone looking for a treat!”

Brand new shows including Aladdin the Musical, Young Frankenstein and Tina Turner the Musical are tipped to be popular along with other top shows including Annie, School of Rock, Matilda, Thriller Live and Phantom of the Opera.

Tickets are also available for Chess the Musical, The King and I, Bat Out of Hell, Dreamgirls, Lion King, Les Miserables and more.

Extra dates are continually added and all shows can be found and booked through the website, by phone or instore at the Bakers Dolphin Broadmead or Weston-super-Mare branches.
