RAF100 – The Red Arrows headline tribute to the Royal Air Force’s centenary at Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton

There are five hours of incredible flying displays and extensive static displays planned for RNAS Yeovilton’s International Air Day.

Participation from 14 nations is expected – the largest international involvement in nearly 20 years, as well as spectacular demonstrations and unique flypasts from Royal Navy air craft, past and present including the first air day appearance of the Royal Canadian Air Force’s CF-18 Hornet Demo Team in decades. The Red Arrows are also making an appearance as part of a tribute to the Royal Air Force’s centenary celebrations.

In addition to the air displays, there will be extensive ground displays ranging from music, Transformers characters, trade stalls, flight simulators, helicopter pleasure flights and fairground rides. The Air Day will be collaborating with fantastic interactive and knowledgeable professionals in our impressive STEM Hangar, sponsored by Lockheed Martin. Inspiring the next generation of engineers, exciting activities will be provided by The Imagineering Foundation and STEM ambassadors from the defence industry. From making your own rockets to virtual reality flight simulators, there’s something for all ages to learn about the fascinating cutting-edge technologies that are around us every day.

40,000 visitors are expected to attend one of the South West region’s biggest single-day events. Save with advance tickets, available via royalnavy.mod.uk/yeovilton-airday or over the counter from participating Tourist Information Centres from mid-May.
