Join the Hawk Conservancy Trust for Music on the Wing

Join the Hawk Conservancy Trust for a unique summer musical fundraising evening, watch the stunning birds of prey soaring overhead against beautiful skyline accompanied by the London Military Band and enjoy one of the Trust’s ranges of delicious picnics and prosecco with friends and family as the sun goes down.
Music on the Wing is on Saturday, 23rd June from 6pm. During the evening, you will see the beautiful birds, Barn Owls, Bald Eagles, Hooded Vultures, a Secretary Bird, Black Kites and a Kestrel, flying across Reg’s Wildflower Meadow and swooping close over the audience’s heads. The live music illuminates their magnificence and creates a stunning and moving atmosphere as they fly to carefully selected pieces.

The musical programme includes Canon in D, In the Mood, John Dunbar Theme, the theme from Zulu, James Bond and the Radetzky March performed by the London military band, a unique ensemble of off-duty professional serving military musicians and musicians trained at the Royal College of Music. Led by Alan Shellard, a former musician from the Grenadier Guards, the band will be performing in traditional guard costumes, reproductions of those worn by the Grenadier Guards between 1860 and 1945.
