It looks like nineties baby names are making a come back

According to a new survey, baby names that were popular in the 1990s are making a comeback, with James, the second most popular boy’s name in 1994 now the 12th most popular name and Charlotte, which was number four in 1994 also making it to the top 20.

Other popular nineties baby names that are reclaiming their popularity are Daniel, Emma, Samuel, Luke and Hannah. Though they might not seem like names that have ever really fallen out of fashion, the number of babies with these names in the noughties fell dramatically and are only now coming back into the top charts.

While people seem to be nostalgic for nineties names, it looks like popular names from the sixties are becoming more and more unpopular. In 1964, the top ten baby names included Susan, Jacqueline and Deborah, none of which are in the top ten now.
