A new Pre-School, which opened in Whitchurch last year, is opening its doors to local families at a special open day on Saturday 14 April.
The Mama Bear’s Pre-School on Bristol Road, Whitchurch is giving parents a glimpse into nursery life at the setting which has been specially designed to be stimulating for rising threes and above.
Parents living and working near to Whitchurch can visit from 10am-12pm where children can enjoy arts and crafts activities while parents will have the chance to tour facilities and find out more about childcare funding schemes from staff.
Mama Bear’s owner Tony Driffield said: “Our Whitchurch nursery is the latest in our group to open and is an exceptional space for children to learn and grow before making the next step to Primary School.
“Interest in this setting was high since we opened and this is a great chance for new prospective parents to get a close look at the facilities and meet with staff.
“Many parents still don’t know what they are entitled to when it comes to Government funded childcare so these sessions will really help those who want to find out more. We’re expecting April to be our biggest intake yet for new children, especially those taking advantage of Extended Entitlement.
“Choosing childcare is one of the biggest decisions a parent has to make and feeling confident with the people you are leaving your child with is so important. Coming to look around a nursery to view the facilities is great but seeing for yourself how well your child fits in, how the staff interact with children and getting a sense of our values is even more useful.”
The Whitchurch Pre-School is located directly opposite Whitchurch Primary School and has extensive parking for parents. It boasts a large landscaped garden as well as a light and airy indoor environment filled with activities and resources for development, progression and fun.
Mama Bear’s is run by husband and wife team Bev and Tony Driffield. Established in 2002 the group now includes 23 nursery settings in Bristol, Somerset and Devon.
